To my patients and their families:

I am writing today regarding your future pediatric dental care. After much thought and consideration, I have decided to pursue my professional and personal goals and sell my pediatric dental practice with a view towards retirement.

As many of you know, the effects of my osteoarthritis also are contributing to my decision to retire. This has led me to seek a doctor who will assume my practice. I am pleased to announce that William R. Cherry, III, DDS, MS will continue my practice. Many of you have met "Bob" while he has been working full time in my office since July 2011.

Dr. Cherry was born and raised in Wilmington. He and his two sisters were patients of my practice for many years. Dr. Cherry is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, where he later completed his Pediatric Dental Residency in 2011. Dr. Cherry has four years of clinical experience.

Dr. Cherry and his wife live in Wilmington and have three children, ages 2 months, 2 and 5. Dr. Cherry will be assuming my practice at its current location effective today. The office telephone number will remain the same and the office and clinical staff also will continue with Dr. Cherry. I will be in the office to help with the transition through the Spring of 2013.

If you have an open balance with the practice, please continue to send all payments to the office.
